1.) When did you get started in the wedding business and how did you go about doing that?

I started full time in 2010. I started out as a second photographer with Blink of an Eye Photography and realized as I worked with other videographers in the area that there was a need for a different style.

2.) What is the best way to find the ideal videographer, and what should someone look for?

I think the most important thing is that you connect on an emotional level with the films and that you feel like you can relate on a personal level with the person you choose. Referrals are great but the eye test is the best way to choose.

3.) How would you describe your approach to weddings?

We approach each wedding the same way. We find the stories that are unique to the couple we are working with. We do our homework ahead of time and get to know our couples so on the day of the wedding we can just sit back, relax, and capture beautiful moments.

4.) What inspires you in your work?

Lately I have been getting my inspiration from still photographers. I study the best around the world and the way they use light to tell their stories. It’s a great way to study composition.

5.) What do you find the most rewarding about your job?

The most rewarding part about what we do is the relationships we create by a long shot. We have met so many amazing people and have created wonderful relationships. It’s such a great job.

6.) What’s the one thing you wish everyone knew about you or your business?

Hmm. That’s a good question. Maybe my love for chocolate and travel…

7.) What do you think sets you apart from other videographers?

There are some great videographers out there for sure. I think the time we put in on finding those little non wedding related stories and are able to convey those in our films really sets us apart.

8.) Share with the readers an example or two of your work

9.) What do you love about weddings?

I love that everyone is happy on the day of a wedding.

10.) What’s the best piece of advice you can give to couples planning a wedding?

Whatever you do, give yourself a little private time together during the day. Your day will fly by and if you don’t plan time together, before you know it the day is over.

11.) What do you do when you are not working?

My five favorite non wedding things are family, friends, bourbon, cigar and travel

12.) Who is your favorite artist or band?

I would say my all-time favorite band is Rush but I love some of the new indie singer songwriter music.

13.) What is the best song of all time?

U2 "New Years Day".

14.) What is your website URL?
